Welcome to the 19th International Symposium on Wood, Fiber and Pulping Chemistry (19th ISWFPC ), that will happen for the first time in South America. This will be the "Tropical" ISWFPC.
The ISWFPC takes place every two years and has been considered the most relevant worldwide event in the areas of wood and pulping chemistry, fibers and bioeconomy in general. The 2017 ISWFPC will cover the topics of Chemistry, Fibers, Pulping, Fossil Energy, Energy, Renewable Energies, Biorefinery and more. The selection of the presentations is made by a scientific committee composed of renowned international experts in the field.
The venue for the 2017 ISWFPC will be the paradisiac tropical city of Porto Seguro, the birth of the Brazilian Civilization. The event will take place in the period of Aug 30 to Sept 01, 2017, a very pleasant climate season in the Brazilian Northeastern State of Bahia.
